Who Are We: Seventeen delegates, including our three guides, ranging in age from 14 to 53. Some of us are experienced world travelers. Others are leaving the U.S. for the first time. We have all decided to join the Witnesses for Peace delegation to Mexico to witness the effects of U.S. policy upon the people of Mexico. Our Purpose: We will meet and talk with the people of Mexico about how their lives have been changed by the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA), which came into effect in 1994, and by United States immigration policies. This web site exists to chronical our journey and to report on what we found. Witness for Peace is a politically independent grassroots organization that educates U.S. citizens on the impacts of U.S. policies and corporate practices in Latin America.
